Gold Lot Sports Betting Picks NCAA Football Week 13 and NFL Week 12

Brian Torchia - 2021 Overall Record 15-6 (7-3 NCAA, 8-3 NFL)

Penn State @ Michigan State - PSU ML, Saturday @ 3:30 PM

It pains me to say that I'm going to be rooting for the Nittany Lions this weekend but that unfortunately will be the case tomorrow.  This line really caught my attention when I saw it considering we have Penn State as an unranked road favorite against a division opponent, Michigan State, who is ranked 12th in the country.

Penn State is returning quarterback Sean Clifford this week and this offense looks a lot better when he's out on the field.  On the other side, Michigan State is coming off last week's blowout loss to Ohio State.  I think it'll be tough for the Spartans to get up for this game after the Buckeyes crushed their spirits.  I took PSU straight up but I think they cover the 1.5 point spread also.

LA Rams @ Green Bay Packers - LA ML, Sunday @ 4:25 PM

I'm keeping the road moneyline favorite trend going with this game on Sunday.  The Rams haven't looked like the juggernaut they were at the beginning of the season but that doesn't scare me in this one, nor does them going up to Green Bay to take on this tough Packers team.

I still believe the Rams have a great shot to win the NFC this year, regardless of what their last few games have shown.  This week they're coming off of their bye, where they've had extra time to prepare for Aaron Rodgers and this Packers offense.  The Packers offensive line is pretty thin right now, so I fully expect Aaron Donald and Co. to create a lot of pressure and make life difficult for Rodgers.  As an added bonus, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has had two more weeks of practice with his new team in LA, so I'm expecting him to play a big role in this Rams win.  I took them moneyline but giving one point is just fine too.

Antonio Wolfe - 2021 Overall Record: 17-14 (11-8 NCAA, 6-6 NFL)

Ohio State Buckeyes @ Michigan Wolverines - OSU -8, Saturday @ 12 PM

Aside from the fact that Jim Harbaugh has the inability to beat Ohio State as Michigan's head coach with a current record of 0-5 against the Buckeyes, Ohio State is just the clear better team.  Not only are the Buckeyes better than the Wolverines, I believe the Buckeyes are the best team in the country right now.

Not only this, but Michigan lost to a Michigan State that was blown out by Ohio State before the first commercial break.  If the game was at Ohio State, the spread would be 15+ points, or maybe even more.  Bookmakers need to consider the location of the game, but in this matchup I don't.  Ohio State beats Michigan by three scores.

Pitt @ Syracuse - Under 58.5, Saturday @ 7:30 PM

I see this game as similar to when past Pittsburgh Steeler teams would take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 17 and play their backups.  I don't believe Pitt will go to this extreme, because they are still battling for a chance to play in a New Year's Six bowl, but I do see them taking some precautions.

Once Pitt gets a sizeable lead against one of the worst teams in the ACC, they will begin to recognize that running the ball is a lot smarter than continuing to expose Kenny Pickett or Jordan Addison.  I see Pickett also sitting the 4th quarter if Pitt can create the three score lead that is the current spread.  Add all of this to the fact that Syracuse offense stinks, however their defense actually is not half bad.  This all adds up to a 41-10 win by Pitt, or somewhere in that range, and the Under.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Denver Broncos - Chargers -2.5, Sunday @ 4:05 PM

This game first caught my eye earlier in the week when it opened at -1.5 in favor of the Chargers.  Unfortunately, I did not jump on that line at the time, having my bankroll tied up in the Thanksgiving festivities.  However, I still like this game at -2.5.

I don't think much of the Broncos.  Four of their five wins are against four of the worst teams in the league.  Also, I think the Chargers offense is really coming together with Justin Herbert, Austin Ekeler, and Keenan Allen as three of the best offensive players at their respective positions.

Tampa Bay Bucs @ Indianapolis Colts - Colts +3, Sunday @ 1 PM

I love the home underdog here. I nearly took the Colts straight up to win but I also like getting the three points at home. The Colts have been playing extremely well as of late and the Bucs have sort of been sputtering.

Also, the Colts are 7-4 against the spread this season and the Bucs are 0-5 against the spread on the road so far.
