Gold Lot Sports Betting Picks NCAA Football Week 12 and NFL Week 11

Oregon Ducks vs Utah Utes - Utah -3, Saturday 7:30 PM

This is a spot that I've been picking a lot this year and I don't see any reason to go away from it now.  Oregon is the 3rd ranked team in the country and they are underdogs on the road by a field goal.  Utah, the 23rd ranked team, are no slouches either but the books making the supposed third best team in the nation underdogs certainly caught my eye.

As for the matchup, these teams have been trending in slightly different directions.  It's weird to say the 3rd best team has not been great as of late but it's true.  Oregon has not quite been the same team they were when they defeated Ohio State in Columbus at the beginning of the season.  On the other side, the Utes have improved over the course of the season, mostly a result of them switching quarterbacks.  Cam Rising has looked great since taking over the starting role and I like him to lead the Utes to at least a three point victory here.

Houston Texans vs Tennessee Titans - Texans +10, Sunday 1 PM

This play is more of an indictment to the Titans than it is an endorsement of the Texans.  The Titans are dealing with a lot of injuries right now and I think it has noticeably changed the landscape of the team.  Star running back Derrick Henry has been lost for the most of the season, a huge loss for a team that really wants to run the ball.  So they have started to pass more but the loss of wide receiver Julio Jones has hindered the passing game as well.

As for the Texans, they're a bad football team.  Plain and simple.  But they did return quarterback Tyrod Taylor in their last game.  Maybe I'm in the minority here but I think Taylor is a very competent quarterback that is capable of leading an offense both with his arm and his legs.  This is going to be an ugly game but I think the Texans can keep it close throughout.

Antonio Wolfe - 2021 Overall Record: 15-13 (9-8 NCAA, 6-5 NFL)

Oklahoma Sooners vs Iowa State Cyclones - Oklahoma -3.5
Saturday @ 12 PM

I see this happen all of the time.  A dominant big-name school loses and bookmakers think it's the chink in the armor that will blow up the entire team.  Then, the dominant big-name school unleashes a revenge-type game to the tune of a three touchdown blow out.  I sense this as one of those games.

Oklahoma is still the better team.  Baylor was certainly no slouch and they may have exposed some of Oklahoma's weaknesses and put some of that on game film for the Cyclones.  However, talent is talent and Oklahoma is the much more talented team.  Also, Iowa State is coming off a loss to the same Texas Tech team that Oklahoma beat 52-21 just a few weeks ago.

Pitt Panthers vs Virginia Cavaliers - Over 66
Saturday @ 3:30 PM

Saturday's game will feature two of the best passing offenses in the nation.  While the Panthers have enjoyed the national attention for theirs, the Cavaliers have flown under the radar.  Meanwhile, Virginia's passing is actually ranked higher than Pitt's.  Virginia and Pitt are ranked 4th and 8th, respectively, in passing yards per game.  Also neither pass defense is ranked in the top 100 in the nation this season.

The only way this game goes under the total is if Pitt takes a large lead and runs the clock out in the 4th quarter against Virginia's terrible run defense.  However, I do not expect this game to be a blowout despite the two touchdown spread.  Pitt's secondary is not good enough to sustain a large lead for the Panthers.  I like this Over all the way up to 70 points.

Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers - Green Bay -1.5
Sunday @ 1 PM

Keep an eye on this one.  Aaron Rodgers is Questionable going into Sunday's game against their division rival.  However, if Rodgers does play, the Packers have covered every single game that Rodgers has played in since Week 1.  I said I will continue to bet the Packers when Rodgers plays until they don't cover and I will again.  I know the Packers are banged up and it's tough to win on the road against a division opponent, but the Packers keep covering so I will keep betting.  However, if Rodgers is out I am taking it off of my card.

Cody Flavell - 2021 Overall Record: 1-1 (1-0 NCAA, 0-1 NFL)

Georgia Tech vs Notre Dame - Notre Dame -16.5
Saturday @ 2:30 PM

The Fighting Irish are on an absolute tear as of late. They’re winners of their last five and have climbed into the top 10.

A 2:30 time slot screams the potential for an ugly upset to come but I like the Fighting Irish here. They’re a much better team and have been clicking on all cylinders. Georgia Tech doesn’t feel like a team that’s capable of scoring a ton especially on a top tier team like Notre Dame. I like the Irish by 25+ in this one.

Washington Football Team vs Carolina Panthers - Panthers -3
Sunday @ 1 PM

I am buying the Cam Newton hype. Proclaiming to the world that he was back last week, Newton’s Panthers come into the game with their customary 3-point line they see every week.

While the Football Team has many playmakers on defense, Chase Young is now out for the year. Couple that with Newton being a better option than PJ Walker, I am riding with the Panthers at home Sunday.
