Jacksonville Jaguars @ New York Jets - Jaguars ML
Sunday
@ 1 PM
It’s always scary backing bad teams at this point in the
season, especially on the road, but I think this is a decent spot for the
Jaguars. The Jets have been just as bad as Jacksonville this season and now
they will be playing without their head coach Robert Saleh this week, as a
result of testing positive for COVID.
Last week, everyone was quick to jump on the Jaguars as
home favorites against the Texans after the team fired coach Urban Meyer. They
weren’t able to pull off the win but the fact that the spread moved 2-3 points
in their favor after firing their coach is very telling. While everyone might
be backing off them this week after that letdown, I’m willing to jump in on
them. I like them to win this game.
Chicago Bears at Seattle Seahawks - Under 43.5
Sunday @
4:25 PM
Here we have a late afternoon game with two teams that
have really struggled offensively. Last week, it took the Bears until the very
last second of the game to score their first touchdown of the game against a
subpar Minnesota Vikings defense. As for Seattle, their offense hasn’t looked
like the Seahawks offense we’ve seen the last few seasons. Quarterback Russell
Wilson’s play been lackluster ever since returning from his finger injury.
Another reason I’m not expecting too many points in this
game is that both of these teams are playing on short weeks. Chicago was
featured in the Monday Night Football game and Seattle had their game moved to
Tuesday night due to COVID issues with their opponent, the Los Angeles Rams. I
think points will be at a premium in this one.

Cleveland Browns @ Green Bay Packers - Green Bay Packers: -7.5
Saturday @ 4:30 PM
I'm dipping my toe back into NFL betting by just following the trends. Had I just simply bet on Green Bay to cover each of their last 10 games, I'd be doing much better. They are 8-1-1 Against the Spread in their last 10 games, and 6-0 at home on the season. I've made money on the Packers before and it is time to go back to the well against a Cleveland Browns team that cannot figure itself out. The Browns are now last in the AFC North and I believe they will remain there for the remainder of this season.
Indianapolis Colts @ Arizona Cardinals - Indianapolis Colts - Moneyline +100
Saturday @ 8:15 PM
I'm really setting myself up here to either have a great Christmas or a lousy one. With my second pick on Christmas I'm taking the best running back in the league, and the clear pick for MVP. In a year where no quarterback has really stepped up beyond the rest, it's a perfect time to award the unstoppable Jonathan Taylor with the MVP. He cannot be stopped.
And the Cardinals are going in the wrong direction as of late, losing to the lowly Detroit Lions last week. Home and away has not really affected the Colts either, as they are 6-1 against the spread, on the road. With the line currently at +1 for the Colts, I'll forego the point and just take Indy to win.
