Western Kentucky vs. UTSA - Western Kentucky -2.5, Friday @ 8:00 PM

We have some Friday night action this week with the Conference USA championship game.  The UTSA Roadrunners were one of the few undefeated teams remaining in the country until they suffered a brutal 45-23 loss last week to North Texas.  On the other hand, we have Western Kentucky riding high into this matchup with 3 consecutive wins of 21+ points.

These teams are trending in different directions and the opening line reaffirms that thought.  8-4 Western Kentucky opened as a slight favorite after UTSA's loss last week and the line has continued to move in their direction.  The Hilltoppers quarterback Bailey Zappe isn't getting as much attention as some of the nation's other elite quarterbacks but he comes into this game with 52 touchdowns and only six interceptions on the season.  These two teams played earlier in the season with UTSA winning 52-46, handing WKU their only conference loss of the season.  The Hilltoppers will be out for revenge in this one and I like them to come out on top this time around.

Georgia vs. Alabama - Georgia -6.5, Saturday @ 4:00 PM

The matchup with the most playoff implications also caught my eye this weekend.  It feels like it could be a trap but I'm willing to take a bite of the cheese on this one.  Georgia has been the best team in the country for most, if not all, of this season and I'm willing to take my chances on them in this game.

Last week in their big rivalry game against Auburn, Alabama struggled to put points on the board for the majority of the game.  They didn't score their first touchdown until the last few minutes, where they were able to squeak out a win in overtime.  There's something to be said about their resilience in that game and the momentum it could carry into this week but I still think this Georgia team is too tough.  Georgia is looking to put the final stamp on what was a spectacular regular season and I expect them to win this game by at least a touchdown.

Antonio Wolfe - 2021 Overall Record: 18-17 (12-9 NCAA, 6-8 NFL)

Pitt vs Wake Forest - Pitt -3, Saturday @ 8:00 PM

These two teams are extremely similar.  They both have top 5 offenses in the nation.  They will each score a ton of points and their defenses allow a lot of them too.  Wake Forest's offense is slightly better with 42.8 points per game versus Pitt's 42.7.  They are also both coming into the game 10-2.
Therefore, when teams are this evenly matched it comes down to a few plays and a few playmakers.  That is why I am happy to place my money on the best quarterback in the nation and the best wide receiver in the nation.  Kenny Pickett to Jordan Addison is the best QB/WR combo in the country and I am happy to depend on them with my money.

Pitt vs Wake Forest - Over 72.5, Saturday @ 8:00 PM

As stated above, these are two Top 5 offenses with lousy defenses.  I would like this total if it was 82.5.  I also think on some books you can get it at 71.5, so jump on it while you can.  This is going to be a shootout.  Especially with the current weather report of 72 degrees in Charlotte on Saturday.  It's perfect conditions for two high powered offenses.  I have two units on each of my ACC Championship picks because I think they are slam dunks this weekend.

Michigan vs Iowa - Michigan -10.5, Saturday @ 8:00 PM

I typically like to bet games I will have the opportunity to follow, but since I will be at the ACC Championship game this Saturday I won't get to watch a single play of this game.  That's how you know I love this pick.  I couldn't not take this line.

I have watched both of these teams multiple times this season.  I have also used the phrase for several teams, "I don't this much of x".  Not only do I not think much of Iowa, I think they stink.  They looked absolutely terrible against Penn State and would have gotten blown out in that game had Penn State not lost their quarterback early on.  Additionally, I just watched Michigan blow the doors off of Ohio State, who I had previously believed was the best team in the country.  The Wolverines are firing on all cylinders right now.  I like them by several touchdowns.
